We’re just two people who love travel a little too much

We’re Liam and Katie – two travellers from the UK who spent the last 4 years exploring the world and learning what makes a trip unforgettable. We know how intimidating it can feel to book a trip, turn up somewhere new, and not know anyone. That’s exactly why we do this.

This wasn’t the plan

We were on completely different paths – Katie finishing her psychology masters, and Liam heading into a career in computer science. Like most people, we thought we had it all figured out. Graduate, get a job, follow the “normal” route.

But one trip turned into another, and before we knew it, we’d spent the next 4 years travelling the world and growing a community of over 36,000 travellers. Somewhere along the way, our perspective on life completely changed.

During that time, we started to notice a shift. Travel felt less about genuine exploration, and more about ticking off the itinerary that everyone else was doing. That’s not what we’re about. No copy & paste itineraries, just travelling to places we think are worth visiting from our own travels and making lifelong friendships whilst doing so.

Such an incredible travel company! They go above and beyond to make everyone feel included and welcome. The regular meet-ups were such a fun way to connect with backpackers from all over the world, and the activities were absolutely brilliant. Katie and Liam organised a travel buddy meet up in Manchester recently and it was amazing! Super well organised and planned out and overall just a fun experience! Two very honest, joyful, and reliable people and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next! They keep it VERY real and I would always trust my travels with them! I wholeheartedly believe in them to always sell a transparent experience that they have tried and trusted! They really do this from the heart!

I attended a UK meetup. Katie & Liam are lovely people with a wealth of experience and true passion for travelling. They are inclusive to everyone whether you've any previous experience travelling or not. They really are passionate about creating truly ethical travel experiences, affordable trips and opportunities for like minded people to connect. Their Instagram page is also full of great tips for first time travellers.

I recently attended a backpacker meet up in Manchester, organised by Katie. I went on my own but was immediately made to feel welcome by Katie’s warmth and friendliness. She had organised it all for us, booked an escape room and then lead a walk around the markets. It was great to meet likeminded people who are all so passionate about (ethical!) travel, especially Katie. Can’t think of a better company to travel with and would definitely trust them to organise the perfect trip!

Highly recommend! I was a backpacker living in Australia for 2 years and I recently moved back to the Uk and I found out about the Backpacker Hub via WhatsApp and that led to a Manchester meet up it was really good to connect with likeminded people who have experienced Similar to what I have done as where I am from People don’t really travel Huge credit goes to Katie, Liam and Lucy Look forward to attending more in the future!

I went to a meet up in London back in August and had a great time! I was struggling being back home after travelling and living in Australia for a year and a half, but this meet up was exactly what I needed and was full of like minded people who are passionate about travel too! I came alone and Katie made me feel so welcome, she is so lovely and I would definitely go to another meet up!
